Minor Prophet: Zephaniah

The Minor Prophets are twelve shorter books in the Old Testament (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi), named for their length, not importance, covering Israel’s history from the 8th to 5th centuries BC. Their core message is a powerful call to repentance from idolatry, social injustice, and unfaithfulness, warning of God’s judgment but always offering a promise of future hope and restoration through God’s merciful covenant, ultimately pointing to the coming Messiah, Jesus.
